Frequently asked questions

Directly from the official data published annually by the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH), which publishes the premiums of all approved health insurers. We always show all health insurers, not just a selection.

Yes. The amounts shown are the gross premiums submitted to the supervisory authority, less the environmental levy redistribution (2026: CHF 5.15 per month per person) — the amount you actually pay. The deduction is identical for every insurer and does not change the ranking of offers.

You continue with alletta, where you can pursue the selected basic insurance and, if needed, compare and take out suitable supplementary insurance.

alletta currently works with Atupri, Assura, CSS, Helsana, KPT, Sanitas and SWICA as partner insurers for completing applications. All other insurers are still displayed fully and independently — you switch directly with the respective health insurer.

Once per year. The FOPH publishes premiums for the following year at the end of September; they apply from 1 January.

Yes. We systematically searched the official FOPH tariff data for these tiers: 17 of 27 insurers specify a separate, lower tariff tier for basic insurance from the 3rd child — you can see this from the marker next to the child. Beyond the age groups child, young adults and adults, and this third-child tier, the FOPH tariff data contain no further distinctions for basic insurance.
