Introduction

The Swiss InsurTech startup Alletta is launching on October 1st the first AI-based online platform for health insurance comparison in Switzerland, led by CEO Jürg Stupp, former member of the Helsana executive board. At the center is an AI avatar, based on a real insurance advisor, who provides advice in ten languages and guides users through the insurance jungle.

The avatar asks questions, determines suitable options and enables the digital conclusion of health insurance policies, making traditional insurance advisors unnecessary. A part of the brokerage commission is returned to the insured persons. At launch, offers from seven health insurers are available (CSS, Swica, Visana, Groupe Mutuel, Helsana, KPT, Sympany), covering around 80% of the Swiss market. According to Alletta, user data is only stored temporarily until the insurance is concluded; only name, age and place of residence are stored permanently.
